Galit Palzur

Ms. Galit Palzur is an economist, specializing in risk management with an emphasis on disasters, extreme events, climate change, supply chain risks, international trade and incorporating environmental and climate issues into strategies and policies. Palzur, internationally, advises and accompanies private and public entities in her fields of expertise and mentors startups through different accelerator programs. She is completing her PhD in economics, focusing of corporate risk management of extreme events at the Poznań University of Economics and Business.

In the past she served in several senior economic positions in the Israeli public sector including being the Director of the Economics and Standards Division and Price Control Regulator at the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and the Manager of the National Budget for the fields of Agriculture, Environment and Tourism at the Budgets Division at the Ministry of Finance. She has over 15 years of experience as a Board Member of several Board of Directors of government-held companies, funds and statutory entities and non-profit organizations. She was also a Chair of the Bureau of the OECD Working Party on Climate, Investment and Development, a member of Israel’s negotiating team for discussions at the UNFCCC, Israel’s representative to the OECD’s Green Investment Financing Forum. Today Palzur sits on the Board of two NGOs: Forum Dvorah, promoting women in the fields of national security and foreign policy and the Israel Energy Forum. She also sits on the advisory board of KESSLER Projects for the World Ltd and is a Fellow at SIGNAL Group.
